Maximum of 50 per session

Small camp sessions of no more than 50 campers means kids are known on an individual basis by each member of staff. This ‘home from home’ environment allows each camper to learn new skills and navigate new experiences, while remaining safe and happy at camp.

A safe location

Located just 2 hours from Geneva Airport, our Swiss summer camp is in Verbier, a quiet mountain town nestled high in the Swiss alps, where campers can have the freedom to explore and experience the outdoors in a safe environment.

Small group sizes

Our group sizes, be these in language classes, mountain adventure groups or our afternoon programme, remain small with a high staff to camper ratio of 1:8 at all times, and 1:4 for our Marmot camp with our youngest campers.

Qualified and experienced staff

Our team are all police checked, first aid qualified and experienced in working in their designated roles with children and teenagers with the majority living in Verbier year round. Find out more about our staff members on our Meet the Team page.

An experienced management team

Our Management team ensure the smooth running of the programmes daily. Behind the scenes, our office team and Director Laura are on hand before, during, and after the camps to provide further support and assist in any way necessary.

A bespoke, personal service

Altitude Camps Director Laura personally handles each camper registration and remains available to every parent whilst their child is at camp, for any questions, problems or simply to provide an update on how their time at camp is going.

Quality Accommodation

Residential campers will stay in our beautiful and private Swiss style chalets, with two to four bedded rooms, all with private en-suite bathrooms. Offering that home away from home feeling, kids will feel settled with new friend. Full board is provided and includes a diverse range of healthy international home-cooked cuisine, with all dietary and religious requirements catered for.

First Class Facilities

As well as having our own in-house facilities and equipment, our camp makes use of the fantastic facilities in and around Verbier. These include volleyball courts, climbing walls, an indoor swimming pool and an outdoor beach pool, playgrounds, a multi-sport gymnasium, soccer pitches, squash courts, tennis courts , mini-golf course, golf driving range, cycling paths, and hiking trails.

A dedicated, year round staff team

Most of our staff are employed by Altitude year-round, working for our ski school in the winter months, and Altitude International Camps in the summer. Our high staff retention rates allow us to build experience within our team and create a sense of community year after year.

Returning Campers

Our small camp with its family atmosphere means that many campers are excited to come back the next year to reunite with staff, friends, and even bring new friends from home! We like to let happy campers and parents do the talking, so please feel free to read our Testimonials to see what families of previous campers have to say.

Memories to last a lifetime

Altitude Camps offers campers real opportunities to form close international friendships whilst learning new skills, making memories and having lots and lots of fun. We know that parents like to share in their child’s camp experience as well, so we keep you up to date on our Facebook, Instagram, and by creating a video of each camp session as well as a private ‘Parent Photo Album’ so you can see and download photos of your camper and their friends.

Native language teachers and team leaders

Our language teachers are native and qualified, ensuring a great learning experience for language campers.  Activity leaders are also all Native English speakers. Campers are encouraged to speak in English all day, with English the spoken language at camp to improve English language development

Refined, structured camp programmes

Altitude offers day and residential camps where campers can specialise in Languages, Mountain Adventure Camps and younger ones can join our Marmot Camps, our mini Mountain Adventure programme. Developed over the years, we ensure each camp provides a fun and valuable learning experience, with specific goals for each age group.  Each camper receives a certificate of their accomplishments at the end of camp.

Personal development and growth

We recognise that camp is an important developmental experience for every camper, as they learn to live and interact with others from both their own and diverse cultural backgrounds, as well as develop their self-esteem, independence, and learn new skills.
