The Summer break is usually the longest holiday of the year. Families leave the country for a few weeks to get away from daily grind and relax for a while. Where to spend those precious days together is a very important decision and in the end many families decide to go on a beach holiday as the weather is more reliable and there are more things to entertain the children, well that’s what they think…
Summer in the mountains
As well as being a beautiful winter holiday destination, the mountains are also spectacular in the summer period. In the Valais region we recieve on average around 300 sunny days per year and Verbier has loads of summer activities on offer, for example hiking, mountain biking, paragliding, climbing, ropes courses, tennis, outdoor swimming (pool), golf and much more.
In Verbier during the summer there is lots to keep the children entertained. Altitude Summer Camps offer day and residential camps for children from 3 to 16 years old. The camps include a wide range of mountain adventure activities or language courses followed by various sports and team building games for children from 6 to 16 years. For the younger ones (3-5 years) there is a multi-activity program.
