Last week we updated you on some easy going summer activities in Verbier, those you can enjoy without too much effort. As we all know there are even more things to see and to do in Verbier during the summer, so this week we will introduce you to some more intensive sporting activities!
The Val de Bagnes has a huge amount of mountain bike terrain. During the summer period our connection of different lifts offers you hundreds of beautiful mountainbike trails, from easy roads to the most difficult downhill runs. For those who love to ride up the mountain themselves there is even more on offer. Why not going for the famous Tour du Mont Fort, a tour from Verbier to La Tzoumaz, followed by Nendaz and Siviez. There you take the lift up to Col de Gentianes, and ride down all the way to Verbier or even Le Châble. If you would like to book a guide, then don’t hesitate to contact us.
In the mountains you can make hiking as difficult as you would like. There are many hiking trails from easy to advanced. In the Verbier area there are some beautiful day trips. Probably the best one is the Sentier de Chamois (approx. 5 hours). From La Chaux the route takes you in the direction of Lac de Louvie, passimg the Col Termin towards the lake itself. If you want you can take a break at Cabane de Louvie, from where you head down to Fionnay. To get back you take the bus from Fionnay (check bus times before leaving home!) and the cable car from Le Châble back up to Verbier.
There are a lot of nice trails on which to do some active running. In Verbier and Vollèges there is a parcours track called Zurich Parcoursvita. These two tracks are each about 2 kilometers long and along the run you will find different kind of exercises such as pull ups, push ups and balance exercises. You can find more than 100 different Parcoursvita tracks throughout Switzerland.
That’s it for this week, more activities are coming your way soon…
