Musicians enjoying the Verbier Festival Music Camp
In partnership with the Verbier Music Festival, this summer Altitude Verbier are running the ‘Verbier Festival Music Camp’. Our staff are responsible for the organisation of accommodation, transport, meals and downtime activities. The downtime activities are particularly important as they allow the musicians time to relax after a long day of rehearsals.
The Music Camp is now halfway through and a group of approximately 50 talented young musicians are getting ready to play as an orchestra in five days time. The group of teenagers have been enjoying a program of practice and rehearsals during the day and fun downtime activities with our Altitude staff in the evenings. The final goal of the musicians attending the music camp is to perform two concerts on the main stage at the world famous ‘Verbier Music Festival’.
Altitude Music Camp Activities
Over the past eleven days we have organized a wide variety of activities including mountain adventure games, swimming, hiking, bowling, football and much more! On the muscians’s day off on Saturday, half the group visited the top of Mont Fort, enjoyed a mountain hike and finished it off with a traditional swiss fondue.. The other half drove down to the Lake of Geneva to visit the Chateau Chillon and enjoy kayaking on the lake.
Over the next ten days we’ve got more exciting activities coming up, and of course enjoying some of the magnificent Verbier Festival concerts.
