Mountain Adventure Mornings

A morning of exploring nature and taking part in exciting outdoor mountain activities while learning new practical skills and improving campers leadership and teamwork! Our mountain adventure programme is very popular amongst children who enjoy being active and outdoors, no matter what their ability level.

Taking advantage of the beautiful Swiss Alps, our experienced team nurture personal growth, initiative and confidence through teaching activities such as fire building, survival skills, orienteering, wood work, hiking, climbing, nature studies, and more!

Groups are split by age and with no more than 8 campers per leader.

The mountain adventure programme is run by English speaking staff, and can also be a great way for those who wish to learn or improve their English skills through language immersion, without taking part in formal lessons.

Action-packed afternoons

After a morning of mountain adventures, campers from all our programmes come together for lunch at 12h00, for an afternoon of mixed sports, activities, excursions and games in our amazing mountain playground.

Campers are in groups for the week, headed by their team leader, with those of a similar age from across the different morning programmes. Activities in the afternoon are scheduled each day, encouraging campers to participate in everything on offer. This gives children an opportunity to try new activities and sports each week, while building lasting memories and friendships with each other.

Evenings together

For those on our residential programmes, the fun continues with an evening programme every day and weekends of activities and excursions for those staying more than one session. Campers get to experience a ‘home away from home’ at Altitude, staying in Swiss chalets with new friends, improving their independence and life skills with 24/7 support and supervision from our camp staff.

Residential campers have free time at 16.00 until dinner, where many choose to sign up to additional activities, take private lessons or enjoy some relaxation time. Campers have dinner together with their chalet, and evening programme activities involve anything from team games, cooking classes or a weekend movie night.
